About

Art and nature. Nature and art…

I can’t put into words how much they mean to me. They help me to stay focussed, upbeat and productive, and have helped power me through some difficult times – they are both a source of comfort and a place of escape.

The only problem is I’m running out of space…but what to do with all the results of my artsing, and how can I procure bountiful art supplies of goodness? An answer has presented itself, as a series of awesome happenings has got me to take a brave step: I’m offering my art for sale online!

After attending a talk he gave in Norfolk, I was able to meet naturalist, photographer, presenter, author, and all round hero of mine, Chris Packham. I gave him one of my original drawings, of a fox, as a token of thanks for all of his work (from wildlife to wellbeing) that means so much to me.

I was beyond thrilled when he shared the picture across social media on 19/04/22! It was overwhelming to see my picture gather over 25k likes, and hundreds of upbeat comments of support! People were requesting my artwork!

WOAH. Right. I need to do this properly…

I’m still powering through a complicated recovery after complex surgeries, so this would have been overwhelming to try and accomplish on my own, so I’m hugely grateful for the support I’ve received to help me get my original artwork professionally scanned and reproduced in high quality prints, as well as having a website with online shop built.

Art has been like therapy for me, and now I hope to re-home some of my work - and pass on the positivity by contributing to 3 causes that are hugely important to me (Norfolk Wildlife Trust, Joey’s Legacy and Headway Central Lancashire). Please take a look at my charity pages, you can also buy me a coffee!

You can stay up to date with my random waffling, news, offers and my latest artwork on Facebook and Instagram @DawnieWelhamArtwork. To place an order or request a quote, please get in touch.

To view artwork currently available as prints and originals, visit my shop.  I also have a dedicated page for pet portraits with examples of my past work, and client reviews. I continue to capture characters, so they will be updated with new works as I complete them.

Thank you for kind words, support and purchases folks!
